We design and build podcast studios, video first content rooms and hybrid audio and video spaces, alongside the supporting areas required to run sessions smoothly. Scopes typically include speech focused acoustic finishes, isolation developed in response to surrounding occupancy, quiet services coordination and camera friendly detailing.

The aim is a room that presents well on camera, is comfortable over long sessions and behaves consistently across different hosts, guests and production teams.

Acoustic and Technical Considerations

Speech clarity sits at the centre of most podcast environments. Treatment strategies focus on early reflection control, reducing flutter and maintaining a stable, controlled decay across practical microphone positions. In video led rooms we balance acoustic intent with visual requirements, so finishes remain clean without compromising performance.

Isolation design is shaped by surrounding uses, expected noise levels and what the host building can realistically support. This includes identifying key noise paths and the level of separation required for reliable speech capture. Mechanical systems are coordinated for low background noise and stable airflow, with minimal interaction with open microphones.

Electrical distribution and containment are planned to support reliable operation, with clear separation where needed and practical routes for audio, video and data. Cable pathways are developed early to keep routing tidy, reduce visual impact and support straightforward maintenance.

Early discussions focus on workflow, equipment requirements, camera positions and the type of content the room needs to support. We then develop layouts, treatment strategies, lighting considerations and building services coordination in collaboration with the client’s production team or technical partners.

During construction we deliver the isolation works, acoustic treatments, finishes and associated mechanical and electrical systems, coordinating with audio, video and IT installers. Before handover we complete acoustic checks, background noise measurements and operational testing to confirm reliable performance in use.
