OUR SERVICES
Acoustic Design and Isolation
Acoustic performance sits at the centre of every successful studio. Whether the requirement is speech, instruments or other sources, accurate monitoring, or high levels of isolation between sensitive spaces, the aim is to create rooms that support the intended use.
Our acoustic design and isolation work starts with what the building can realistically support, then develops the details required to deliver reliable results.
What we deliver
We provide acoustic design and isolation services for new studios, existing facilities and early-stage feasibility. This includes assessment of the host building and constraints, isolation design, internal acoustic treatments, background noise control, HVAC coordination and commissioning.
What this service covers
Feasibility and assessment. Review of the host building, constraints and likely achievable performance.
Isolation design. Isolation details addressing all noise paths, including junctions and service penetrations.
Internal acoustic treatments. Treatment design for early reflection control, modal behaviour and low frequency stability, integrated with monitoring and room geometry.
Background noise and building services integration. HVAC and electrical coordination to meet background noise criteria without compromising isolation details.
Commissioning and verification. Measured isolation performance, background noise measurements, loudspeaker line-ups and reverberation measurements.
Integration with Studio Design and Build
This service can be delivered on its own, or integrated into our Studio Design and Build projects. Where integrated, acoustic, architectural and building services requirements are coordinated together so key details remain consistent from design through to installation, supporting reliable commissioning outcomes.
How we work
We begin by confirming the brief, building conditions and the level of acoustic performance required. Site surveys, plus structural and mechanical reviews establish what the premises can support.
We then develop room layouts, isolation details, treatment specifications, mechanical coordination and technical routes. These are integrated with architectural and structural drawings so the acoustic constructions can be built accurately.
During construction we support our onsite team with workshops, drawing clarification and site inspections where required. At completion we verify the rooms through commissioning checks and acoustic measurements, ensuring performance meets the intended criteria.
